Personal demoralization

When a person becomes unsatisfied with, and rejects, his or her life style, without being able to reorganize and develop a satisfactory new lifestyle, then demoralization sets in. It is particularly characteristic of periods of rapid breakdown in social systems when new social systems are unable to keep pace.
