A stage further than willing suspension of disbelief, the person watching an actor playing a part part actually experiences the part as though it were himself and physically joins in. He is in "another world". The same experience is that of the absent minded professor or the inventor who is so taken up with what is going on inside his mind that he no longer responds to externals but is in a trance-like state.
