Labour training

Description

Depending on the ideological system of a particular society, individuals in that society will be educated to have a different approach to work and workmanship. In some societies such training starts in childhood, children being taught to work in society and expected to make their own contribution and perform useful tasks (for example, in the Soviet Union). In other societies, labour training is more a matter of training in attitudes to work, with the emphasis on discipline, conscientiousness and attention to detail. Whatever the system, such training is generally considered essential both for the harmonious, free development of the individual and for the attainment of his or her useful place in the community.
