Insight

In contrast to [intuition]

, insight may be thought of as the understanding of something which may be described in concrete terms. Such understanding may, in some sense, be interpreted as [wisdom]

as it connects different perceptions and passes them on to another in the form of a skill or ability. Insight also refers to an apprehension of one's own situation or problems and may arise after gradual accretion of self-knowledge, with facilitation of psychic reorganization and development of new emotional freedom.
