Description
This term designates an area of management concern in ensuring the smooth functioning of a corporation or enterprise. Productivity, satisfaction at work, and health are all intimately interwoven. Human relations skills are required to balance the various perceptions and perspectives of individuals performing different, but interdependent functions within an enterprise in order to avoid conflict, ill-will and ill-health. The focus is therefore on interpersonal relations and the aim is to increase productivity by improving the working atmosphere.
