- Emptiness of mind
- Blank sheet
- White paper
Description
During the practise of [zazen]
meditation, the practitioner's mind is clear of all thoughts, pictures, images, ideas or beliefs. It is like a blank sheet of white paper. Until this is achieved, enlightenment cannot arise, but when the mind is totally empty the individual experiences an [awakening]
