Eccentricity

Despite apparently odd behaviour, eccentrics suffer less than the general population from mental illness and stress. At the opposite extreme from neurotics, who may lack sense of humour and take themselves too seriously, the deviant behaviour of the eccentric may be healthy and life-enhancing. Eccentrics are a liberating influence from inhibiting convention.
