Concentration

Concentration is a special form of attention characterized by disciplined organization and fixation of attention on the grasping and shaping of subject matter containing meaning and value. It is the requisite condition for optimal cognitive achievement and is a feature of those techniques in which the field of consciousness is closely restricted, such as hypnosis and autogenic training.
