Co-consciousness

Those states of consciousness which are not in the focus of attention but are on the edge of the content of consciousness, co-conscious states coexist with but are dissociated from personal consciousness. They cover perception, thought, feeling, remembering, decision and action which are completely analogous to conscious functions although carried out unconsciously, and include pathologically split off states.
