Baraka (Islam)

Rituals of prayer or dancing can generate spiritual energy which may be passed on directly, energizing those who receive it. Even the atmosphere surrounding a person touching on oneness is alive with this energy. Years of loving use of buildings or objects can impart baraka to them so that there is a sense of blessedness attached. The term may be extended to describe the "humanizing" effect that years of use can impart to a machine or instrument so that one has a rapport with it.
