Unity of intellect
Description
1. The active intellect (Aristotle) or agent intellect which is not a part or power of each human soul, but which is a separately existing divine intelligence; a unity which acts on the passive, individualized intellects of men.
2. Identified by speculative thinkers of the Middle-Ages with God; denied by orthodox Catholics.
