Description
1. On the basis of quantum theory, radiation is conceived as having a discontinuous or quantized aspect (bundles of energy), rather than as travelling as continuous waves. The concepts of quantized action on the atomic scale can be related to pre-existing ideas of quantization in connection with macroscopic objects.
2. Such an extension of quantization can be used to correlate ideas and concepts in many diverse fields. In science, quantum theory plays a key role in providing a fundamental framework of concepts not only in many areas of physics and chemistry but also in the life sciences. Quantization also provides new insights into the nature of music and reveals philosophical and conceptual relations between music, sculpture, architecture and painting, thus establishing links between these fields and mathematics and philosophy. As a primary aspect of thinking, quantization also provides new insights into the nature of information, perception, the processes of teaching, learning and the nature of creativity.
