Genetic epistemology

In Piaget's developmental psychology, the notion the cognitive development of the individual is, to a considerable extent, genetically pre-programmed. In its undefined form it can be related to the Socratic assertion that knowledge is innate, and to the deep-structure linguistic theory of Chomsky.
