Description

1. In physics the fields of the four universal forces (electromagnetism, gravity, weak force, nuclear energy). Fields are systems of interacting wave particles and can be considered as special forms of matter.

2. In algebra, a class, set, or set of classes used to describe mathematical phenomena such as rational numbers, constants, real numbers, complex numbers, etc.

3. In biology, a system in which behaviour of parts is determined by their position, e.g. the embryo and its cellular differentiation. Such biosystems may be vector fields with zones of structural stability.
